Animal Nursing Assistant
Job Description:
We are looking for a team player to join our friendly independent practice. This role has been created due to the practice expanding.
We are looking for a proactive person to assist the nursing and veterinary team with their day to day tasks and reception with answering the phones
Qualities we are looking for
- Someone who works well in a team
- Able to work under pressure.
- Must have a good telephone manner
- A high standard of hygiene for cleaning clinical areas
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Multi-tasking skills including ability to prioritise
- Have a flexible approach to work.
Responsibilities
- Helping the veterinary team with restraining animals
- Making sure inpatients are comfortable and happy
- General support of the nursing team and others in the practice
- Answering the phones when needed as back up for the reception team
- Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness in clinical areas
- Assisting with health and safety protocols of the practice
- Checking and putting away medication orders
- Stock counting, ordering and maintenance
Shifts: 8am - 3.30pm or 11:30pm - 7:30pm on a two week alternating rota with a Saturday morning 8am -1pm every other week. Friday will be a day off on the week that you work a Saturday morning.
Full-time hours: 37.5 hours per week
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Up to £12.71 per hour
Schedule: Monday to Saturday
